Passage: Psalm 40:1-3

Description: This sermon will focus on what it means to be “patient” with God and to wait for His presence and His strength, especially bringing you out of a difficult time. Although this Psalm was written during a very difficult time in David’s life, we face the daily struggles of how to live a life of faith in the midst of worldly and secular thinking. The temptation is not to have patience in seeking God but expecting answers immediately. The main point of this passage is to draw Christians back to a point of deep and unrelenting patience in seeking God. Even in the midst of transition, change and challenge, God is worthy of our surrender and our persistent love for Him which at the end will allow us to be on sure footing.
