2. Jaffray English Email List
If you would like to receive information regarding worship, events, announcements and

3. Rouge Valley Church Welcome Back BBQ
Rouge Valley Church will be having a BBQ for students next Sunday, August 27 at
4:30pm at their church located at 70 Old Kingston Road. They are looking for people to
help with live music, set up or to help purchase some food items that they will cover if
we keep our receipts. If you are interested in joining please email Pastor Ken at
kennethkim@tjcac.org.
Needs:
– Corn on the cob
– Side Salads
– Freezies
– Set up
– Clean up
– Lawn chairs (to borrow)
4. Men’s Fellowship
Men’s fellowship is today with lunch together after service and then activities at Elder
Herman’s house. His address has been sent out in the group chat. Please talk to Elder
Herman today if you would still like to join.
5. Marriage Mentoring
We will be launching marriage mentoring this September. Marriage mentoring is not
marriage counseling but where couples gather to talk and share about marriage with
questions and material provided by Family Life Canada. The commitment is 1 year and
10 sessions. We currently have 4 couples who are trained to mentor other couples:
– Caleb and Holly Chau
– Elder Vince and Elaine
– Elder Herman and Sharon
– Pastor Ken and Mindy
If you are interested in marriage mentoring, please let Pastor Ken know and he can
match you up with one of our marriage mentoring couples.
6. Church Anniversary Banquet
35th Anniversary Banquet Ticket prices are $50 for adults; $25 for children age 5-12.
Children under 5 will be free. Understanding that ticket prices may be viewed as a
luxury or a hardship to some, Jaffray Church has reserved a limited number of
subsidized tickets to make this family event more accessible to everyone. Please speak
to your Ministry Pastor to access these tickets by Sun. Aug 20, 2023.

7. 2023 English Retreat
Dates: October 27-29 (Friday – Sunday)
Price: Adult $120
