1. Policies for Indoor Services
While following all of Ontario’s updated COVID 19 public health measures and advice detailed in our safety plan, starting Apr 1, 2022, the following changes for indoor services are in effect at TJCAC:

  • capacity limits and physical distance mandates have been lifted
  • pre-registration for attendance is no longer required
  • other protective measures, such as mask/face covering requirements, hand sanitizing, and passive screening remain in place

TJCAC encourages all attendees to meet in person for the Lord calls us together, and we will reassess our indoor policies and procedures monthly to support in person services.

2. Church Lunch
We will be hosting our first church lunch on Sun Jul 3, 2022 at 12:30pm to celebrate and encourage meeting in person after over 2 years of pandemic restrictions. Pay at the door with exact change $8/adult (12 yrs or older); $4/child (5-11 yrs); and free for anyone who is joining such a lunch program for the first time.

3. Holy Communion
The first Sunday of each month is holy communion. Please pick up your 2-in-1 communion elements before you enter the sanctuary next Sunday or prepare your elements at home if you are joining us online.

4. Baptism & Membership Classes
If you believe you should be baptized or become a member of Jaffray, there will be baptism & membership classes on Sunday July 10, 17, 24 at 11am in the white house so you can be baptized and welcomed as members in our church anniversary service on September 11.

6. Victor & Betty Chin’s Retirement
After 12 years as International Workers in Mexico in a Seamless Link with Jaffray Church, Victor and Betty Chin will be retiring. Please join us to celebrate the work that God has done through them on July 3, 2022 at the end of the Cantonese Sunday Worship around 12:25pm, and then fellowship together at the church lunch.

7. Sexual Misconduct for Official Workers
In full compliance with the Alliance Canada’s Policy and Procedures on Sexual Misconduct for Official Workers and Churches, we have placed on Jaffray Church’s website an opportunity to report sexual misconduct, including the recommended messaging. If a licensed worker, staff, or volunteer, becomes aware of an alleged incident of sexual misconduct, they MUST report it without delay to the national advisor (regardless of whether it happened to them personally or not).
