1. BBQ Lunch
We will have a church wide BBQ lunch next Sunday, July 6 at 12:30pm. If you missed the BBQ lunch registration and you would still like to join us for fellowship, please feel free to pack or buy your lunch to spend this time with brothers and sisters.
2. Prayer Net Ministry
As new deacons are installed on July 6, it is a great reminder to pray for our leaders. Did you know our church has a Prayer Net Ministry? This ministry has been established for more than 30 years who regularly pray over church leaders, including pastors, elders, and deacons, and for the urgent needs of brothers and sisters. The current members of the Prayer Net Group are Anna So Leung, Belinda Cheng (current Co-ordinator), Cathy Mo, Eva Ng, Judy Ip Ng, Justine Cheng, Margaret Pak, Sylvia Lau, and Teresa Poon. These members are part of a regular rotation who pray each Saturday. Congregation members in need of urgent prayer support, can contact any members of the Prayer Net Group at any time without waiting until Wednesday or Saturday; prayer needs are kept strictly confidential.
3. Marriage Ministry Workshop
Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025
Time: 9am-12pm
Location: Markham Peoples Community Church (22 Esna Park Dr., Markham ON, L3R 1E1)
Languages: Presentation and discussions in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
Purpose: For Chinese church pastors and leaders to learn about the essential elements of a thriving marriage ministry and how to begin a marriage ministry or lead an existing one to greater fruitfulness.
4. Women’s Summer Fellowship Event
What: A ladies lunch potluck
When: Sunday, July 20th at 1-4pm
Where: Katherine’s house (near Warden and 16th)
How to attend: You can sign up with the QR code or talk to Katherine for details
5. Men’s Summer Fellowship Event
What: Sports and food
When: Sunday, July 27 at 12-4pm
Where: TBD
How to attend: Please speak to Pastor Ken or Elder Herman
6. YLM Rest
YLM will not be offering any Sunday programming for the months of July and August as the ministry volunteers rest from the busy school year. Families are invited to join the English Worship service during the summer months. The nursery will be available for use.
7. Sunday School
Please note that Sunday School will be on break in the summer months of June, July and August. Please enjoy some time to fellowship with brothers and sisters after worship.
8. White House closure
Please be advised starting May 26, the church office (White House) will be closed for ministry use until further notice due to construction work. Please refrain from entering the office. Please contact Spencer Cheng for any inquiries.
