2. Monthly Lunch Fellowship
Our monthly lunch fellowship continues next Sunday, August 2 at 12:30pm in the white house. Join us for a time to rest and connect with brothers and sisters.
3. Baptism and Membership Transfer
If you sense that God is prompting you to get baptized or if you would like to make a commitment to the brothers and sisters at Jaffray by transferring your membership, please let Pastor Ken know. Baptism & Membership classes will take place on Sunday’s Aug. 9, 16, 23.
4. Full-Time Cantonese Assistant Pastor
The Elder Board is pleased to announce that Pastor Esther Lai will change her role from part-time to full-time Cantonese Ministry (CM) Assistant Pastor, effective August 1, 2026. In addition, Rev. Matthew Chiu has accepted the role of CM Consulting Pastor for two years starting August 1, 2026. Please join us in welcoming and supporting them in their new roles. TJCAC continues to pray and wait for God to provide a Lead Cantonese Ministry Pastor.
5. Anniversary Service Choir
For those interested in joining the choir for our anniversary service, please speak to Helen.
6. Prayer Net Ministry
As new deacons have been installed on July 5, it is a great reminder to pray for our leaders. Did you know our church has a Prayer Net Ministry? This ministry, established over 30 years ago, regularly watches over church leaders, including pastors, elders, and deacons; and intercedes for the urgent needs of brothers and sisters. The current members of the Prayer Net Group are Pastor Esther Lai, Anna So Leung, Belinda Cheng (current Coordinator), Cathy Mo, Eva Ng, Judy Ip Ng, Margaret Pak, Sylvia Lau, and Teresa Poon. On every Saturday, they will pray for 2 leaders. Therefore, if you are a pastor, elder, or deacon, one of these sisters may contact you to ask how they can pray for you, your family, and your ministry. Brothers and sisters, if you urgently need prayer support, you can contact the prayer net group at any time for support, without having to wait until Wednesday or Saturday; they will keep your prayer requests confidential.
7. TJCAC Softball Drop-ins
– Open to anyone age 18 and up
– Location: Goldhawk Park (250 Goldhawk Trail, Scarborough)
– June to August, every other Saturday (starts June 13) 10:30am-12:30pm
– Activities will be held in English
– Come fellowship and play some softball!
